TEAM LAME
Jummi Laishram
Researcher at Laboratory of Innovative Materials

A physicist by training, I obtained my PhD at SISSA-ISAS in Trieste in 2009, where I studied neuron morphology and quantified the forces neurons exert as they explore their 3D environment. In 2010, I joined the Università di Trieste for post-doctoral studies on the applications of nanotechnology in neuroscience. In 2024, I joined LAME at Area Science Park, Trieste, to investigate innovative materials using advanced electron microscopy. I am also involved in RIANA, an EU-funded project within Horizon Europe that provides access to scientific services in nanoscience and nanotechnology.

With experience in various microscopy techniques, I am keen to explore nanomaterials and the applications of nanotechnology in various scientific areas that have a real impact on real-world problems.
